HOW TO FADE HYPERPIGMENTATION
I ATE GREASY FOOD THATS WHY MY LIPS LOOK LIKE THAT hahahaha π jokes soz FOR MY EXCESSIVE USE OF LIPBALM but this is how I keep them hydrated πππ
Anyway I thought Iβd dedicate this post to one of the most asked questions:
How did you clear up your hyperpigmentation (which is dark spots left from acne) so quickly?
In the top photo none of it are active pimples just red/purple discolouration. Here are THREE top steps:
1. TONER: Witch hazel toner works as an astringent with strong antioxidant properties. It has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, & disinfectant qualities, absorbs excess oil from your skin but does not make it feel dry & helps fade dark spots. (I use the brand TN Dickinson which you can get easily in most drug beauty stores) I also recommend Originβs Zero Oil toner which as Saw Palmetto and Mint as it also helps with active acne.
2. AHA glycolic acid products: These are absolutely god-send. They dissolve dead skin cells, brightens and evens the skin tone and stimulates collagen production. I use @banishacnescars pumpkin mask (code LIZY) When you first begin using glycolic acid products, it takes time to reverse clogged pores and melt the sebum that has already formed under you skin. This may take up to 3 - 6 weeks.π I didnβt purge when using these products, but there has been some who said they purged, whose acne quickly healed due to the quicker cell turnover.
3. SUNSCREEN: Since glycolic acid makes your skin even more sensitive to the sun than it already is, you need to apply sunscreen so your spots donβt darken. I recommend @dermalogica sensitive shield spf 30 (this is pretty pricey but its so worth it since you use this every day and it lasts pretty long over 6 months) and Iβm also currently loving @zincinvisible spf 30 - both controls my oilness π
HOPE THIS HELPS!!! XOXO

Liz
